Kaspr’s importance in lead generation

kaspr

Sales representatives are the first in line of the entire sales process. They are responsible for prospecting, right up to the management of the customer portfolio. Kaspr makes it easy for them to process customer information in the lead generation process.

Lead generation is essential for any sales action

A sales representative spends about a quarter of his or her working time prospecting for the business. The tools available on the market have been specifically designed to make the operation less complicated.

They allow you to collect prospects and customers’ contact information quickly. The main objective is to start a distance selling campaign. This aims at transforming people interested in a service or a product into loyal customers. This way, the sales representative saves a considerable amount of time and can thus devote more time to the actual sale.

This process can be applied in a B to B campaign, an option that improves the efficiency and productivity of sales teams. It is true that there are a large number of devices for generating contacts and their functionalities are not always identical.

Prospecting via email and phone number

These are the two basic options in terms of customer acquisition with conversion rates that may vary depending on the business sector.

What is cold emailing?

In this case, contact is made via email. The objective is to send a proposal that could arouse the interest of the prospect who visited your website. This is indeed an inbound strategy, but the contact search approach is similar to the principles of outbound marketing.

This option is interesting as long as you have an effective lead generation strategy.

Cold Calling and its speed of action

The main advantage of this method is that it can lead to an immediate response from the prospect. In any case, in order to put all the chances on your side, the implementation of a well thought-out approach is required. Success is based on key sales arguments and proper timing.

In the past, the two previous techniques were used independently. However, a combination of the two techniques has led to better results. Indeed, data collection is the first step in client acquisition.

The innovation of automated prospecting

Based on the use of artificial intelligence to determine the habits of Internet users, this technique allows sales representatives to save a considerable amount of time. Digital has overtaken consumers’ reflexes in terms of product and service research. Social networks are the main actors of this upheaval.

From now on, the sale is carried out over several stages, focusing on an automatic and personalized process.  This technique facilitates lead generation, with clear improvement in the messages sent, which are personalized.

With this in mind, it is preferable for the sales teams to carry out the automated emailing campaign first and then move on to the calls. Thanks to the prospecting tools available on the market, you won’t have to spend hours looking for your contacts’ contact information.

Kaspr’s Assets

This prospecting tool retrieves contact information in just a few seconds. For example, you just have to go to the LinkedIn profile of a contact to access his contact information.

kaspr lead generation

In practice, when you search on this social network and ask for the contact information, you will not be provided with confidential information in the databases. Kaspr analyzes the entire web in real time to provide you with relevant results.

In addition, the tool is aimed at both sales representatives and recruiters, whether inbound or outbound marketing, but also inbound or outbound recruiting. It must be said that recruitment is another priority for companies. The search for talent requires the implementation of a recruitment strategy linked to the company’s strategy.

The working principle of this tool

The first step is to download the Kaspr plugin and install the extension on Google Chrome. Then you can browse freely on LinkedIn and go to your contact’s profile. From there, you can obtain his contact information by clicking on the Kaspr widget.

In order to be as precise as possible, the sales representatives integrate different criteria, such as the position or the professional category and the skills required. Of course, the searches concern both individuals and companies.

The reliability percentage will be displayed for each email address and phone number. Reliability is around 95% for emails and 40% for phone numbers. These contact details are to be recorded in the Kaspr dashboard.

It is also possible to automate this search by using LinkedIn filters for example. The coordinates are centralized by the tool on your CRM. This solution allows you to easily enrich your prospect list. The data collected are all legally exploitable, as they are governed by the General Data Protection Regulation (or GDPR). In addition, sales actions can be implemented immediately.

Finally, Kaspr plans to expand the automation of sending messages and invitations on LinkedIn.

Electricians and their Fleet: New Survey and Findings

0
fleet management

A new Vimcar study shows that a whopping one-third of all electrician employers have had a van robbed, in line with recent data suggesting that more than 1 in 3 UK businesses are hit by van theft annually.

The answer? According to Vimcar’s study, 63% of employers in the electrical service industry would buy, or have already bought, a telematics system to track the live location of their fleet vehicles and notify them of any suspicious activity.

Another 62% would also like a system in place to keep a handle on vehicle misuse: 75% restrict how their fleet should be used (some only allow their vehicles to be used for business miles, for example) and many in the electrical service industry find their employees don’t always follow those rules.

Here’s an infographic with the survey’s key findings below:

Salesource – How Kyle Dayne build it as a brand to profit £5mln a year

0

Instead of going to university he risked starting a business, now making £5mln a year.

salesourceA 22 year old Kyle Dayne a few years ago made a decision not to follow the crowd and instead of starting university, he put all his efforts into creating a startup, turning his life around and making millions a year.

Kyle started his journey in 2018 with dropshipping – after owning multiple profitable stores he decided to sell them and concentrate on the bigger picture – a software company.

SaleSource was founded in 2019. The idea developed from obstacles that Kyle was facing as a dropshipper. The whole process of finding the right products to sell online seemed too complicated and time consuming. That’s when the idea for creating an AI powered by machine learning software occurred. With SaleSource, you can find best suppliers, best products and spy on your competitors at the same time.

Kyle hopes that especially during pandemic more people will be encouraged to start their own businesses or side hustles to secure their financial future. Dropshipping business model is very approachable due to the low barriers of entry.

Having coded since the age of 14, Kyle always knew his future is going to be in tech. His passion for UI and UX design is a significant factor in why SaleSource is successful. He wanted his customers to have the best user experience by making dropshipping simpler, more transparent and more accessible with his tool.

Coming from a working class background Kyle was always dreaming big, he wanted to escape to London and start his tech company, which after many mental challenges and working 12h a day 7 days a week is finally happening. One of the reasons he decided not to go to university despite being admitted to UCL and Imperial College London was because schools have no tolerance for failure, whereas being an entrepreneur means to move fast, experiment and learn from your mistakes. Many people worry about too many things and don’t take action, that’s why they never succeed.

“The future of SaleSource is bright, starting with dropshipping we are building a general tool for selling online, making ecommerce more accessible for everyone.” – Kyle Dayne

Tips for Printing Business cards

  • Before printing check the design properly that the text and graphics used in the business card best suits the standard business card size.
  • Always leave some extra space at least 1/8 inches for the background so that the design looks neat and legible with all design elements.

One of the major reasons people go for contactless payment is the speed of completing transactions, making it suitable for people who are always on the go. A contactless card machine processes transactions very fast compared to EMV chip cards and mag-swipe cards. It only takes about 15 seconds to process the transaction while the others require more than double the time to do the same. Also, users don’t have to enter or disclose a PIN to complete their transactions, and they can use wearables to access this.

Is Contactless Payment Popular?

The use of contactless card machines is becoming common in the UK, Australia, and Canada, among many other countries where there are already millions of contactless credit cards in use. The UK alone has about 119 million contactless cards. Furthermore, one-third of the card transactions carried out in the UK are contactless.

Banks in the US are also issuing millions of credit cards that are contactless, and by 2021, it is estimated that the US will have more than 229 million contactless cards. Card transactions are also estimated to worth $111 billion at the same time.

The popularity of contactless cards in London spiked because commuters became used to “tap and go” when using public transport. This transitioned easily into the use of contactless payment options. We’ve also seen the New York subway using contactless payment technology for travelers. It’s only a matter of time before this sweeps across the whole city, just like it happened in London.

What Kind of Business is Contactless Card Reader Suitable For?

Contactless payment is suitable for all kinds of businesses that are into selling items with a value of less than £45. It makes the transaction quick and seamless. However, other businesses selling items with high value can also use contactless card payment, provided they are selling at a lower frequency.

How Does A Business Benefit from Using Contactless Card Machines?

There are many ways that a business can benefit from using contactless payment technology and, by extension, contactless card machines. The global business world is now very fast-paced. If you want to remain relevant, especially as a small business, it is vital to offer your customers exactly what they want. One thing that is of the essence now is time. Customers are looking for ways to save time, and this means they’re looking for the most efficient, easiest, and fastest way to make payment and complete transactions. In this case, this is a contactless payment.

about Contactless payment technology

You can increase the speed of transactions for a hassle-free and convenient payment by simply getting a contactless card terminal. This helps prevent long queues from building up at checkout points (which is seen as a time-waster). In the end, customers are happy to get their transactions sorted without long delays, and your staff is less stressed.

With contactless payment technology, you can keep your customers satisfied, which means they are likely to return. It can potentially lead to an increase in sales for your business as customers are sure of fast and convenient payment and can always come back.

Final thoughts

Going forward, contactless payment methods will be the primary payment method as customers seek speed and convenience in completing their transactions. There are countless terminals, credit cards, and debit cards currently offering the contactless payment option, and this will only increase going forward.

The Business Networking Phenomenon

0
business network

It has been called the business networking phenomenon. The moment COVID 19 lockdown began in March 2020 Businesses had to change their networking approach. Now it is hard to think of networking BC! (Before Covid) Throughout the centuries businessmen and women have used networking as a means to develop relationships and gain clients; by referrals, extending their client database and improving their sales funnels.

This has been conducted usually by in-person events. When the first lockdown came into practice, face-to-face networking stopped and business networking was at risk. Many networks stopped and closed their activities. Networking groups like BNI, 4N, Rotary Groups, MIBA, Athena and others could have become extinct. However, the creativity and adaptability of business people came to the fore using online technology. Zoom quadrupled its client base and became part of the vocabularly!  Other platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Blue Jeans and Remo suddenly became attractive as business people embraced online networking.

Technology changed the way businesses conducted their networking in an unprecedented way. As I began to write the book, Successful Business Networking Online, it soon became obvious that there was more to online networking than originally anticipated.

  1. Technological phobias had to be overcome.
  2. A new culture and protocols began to emerge.
  3. Concerns that the principles of networking may not work online, had to be addressed.

The learning curve was steep, we were all learning together, at the same time. New terms entering the vocabulary: Zoomland, Zoomitus, Zoom Brain, Zoombombing and Zoom Fatigue. New phrases: “You’re on mute”, and “You have frozen” are now regular phrases in every networking group!

business networking phenomenon

We had to learn how to best use the screen. It might only be 2” by 1”in size, but it is in fact a live business card. Backgrounds need to be considered. Are there pants or posters in the background? When people are deciding quickly, who they want to do business with, it’s crucial to be professional and now online etiquettes have been established, perhaps relaying from the bedroom is not the best place.

The camera has to be in the right position for you to be seen.  Light has to come from in front of you and not from behind. A common mistake people make is to have a window behind them with natural light pouring in. This means they become silhouetted, or their face is in darkness, unable to be seen clearly.  It is easily resolved, you have to turn to face the light, or draw the curtains and put a light on in front of you.

Five easy protocols to remember

  1. Do not eat on screen, even if you are not speaking – instead if you must eat use the Stop video.
  2. Keep your microphone on mute when not speaking, so others don’t hear background noises (phones, dogs or children!).
  3. Check your background, keep it neat and tidy, or use a virtual background, one featuring your logo perhaps.
  4. Put your full name at the bottom of the screen so people can easily find you on social media.
  5. Use the chat room to place your links and include the http:// before the www. This makes it clickable and goes directly to the link.

Like everything, there are advantages and disadvantages. Here are a few:

Advantages

  • No travel costs. You can meet people from all over the world from the comfort of your home.
  • Online is more accessible for people with disabilities. Those with mobility issues are safe and those who are hard of hearing find the faces on the screen easier to lip read, and they have control of the volume button.
  • Most online network meetings are free or at a low cost. Therefore, the rate of investment in time can be enormous.

about business networking

Disadvantages

  • We miss the human contact and connection. Interactions can appear forced and the spontaneity or buzz that happens in group conversations is missing.
  • It’s easy to tell untruths online, as we only see people from above the keyboard without the benefit of using all our senses and picking up body language clues. Therefore, it’s harder to discern the truth!
  • Online overload or Zoom fatigue are real. Many people are spending hours in front of a screen, making neck, back and sight issues a strong possibility.

The book, Successful Business Networking Online covers all the above points in detail, illustrated by fantastic cartoons from Joanne Whitlock.  It contains contributions from over 100 business people who regularly network online, the foreword is written by Nigel Botterill: Entrepreneur Circle and there are interviews with recognised networking gurus, including: Brad Burton, Sandra Garlick MBE and Graham Todd.

This is the first book dedicated to online networking, it is endorsed by BNI founder Dr Ivan Misner and Professor Gary Bosworth who both see it as an essential resource for business people and business students across the world.

We have to remember that networking is the lifeblood of every business. If you are serious about bringing in more clients, your networks are the way to survive difficult and challenging COVID-19 times. So, is it time for you to join the business networking phenomenon?

UK Digital Services Tax-Amazon hit Small Traders

Digital Service Tax(DST)

The UK government on April 1st, 2020 has launched a digital service tax that would have a great impact on various corporations including Google, Amazon, and IBM. In addition to this, American President Donald Trump has also decided to introduce the tax system and determine how are the adverse effects arise for all American businesses. Many corporate companies support the investigation but whereas IBM urged the president not to launch those investigations in the UK and other EU countries.

Digital Service Tax

The Digital Service tax is the one, which introduced, by the UK Government and other countries worldwide that is applicable to the companies in the digital service industry. The Digital Service Tax (DST) is the one, which would generate 2 or 3 percent of the countries’ domestic revenue from a large group of internet companies.

Problems due to DST

  • Tax authorities tax few companies to provide digital services even though they are located in other countries.
  • In general, while there are a talented accountant or using tax loopholes, many reputed companies pay very fewer amounts of corporation tax (like Amazon and Apple) which results in an insufficient amount for the government in public services like roads, healthcare, and education.
  • Further, it becomes hard to calculate or determine the exact tax that a company has to hosts digital services when not delivering a physical product (VAT).

Working of the Digital service tax

The digital services tax is applied to the companies that involve in providing digital services. Suppose the global sales exceed $500 million but whereas the UK sales exceed $25 million, then for the first $25 million no tax is exempted and is considered as the allowance. However, if the sales profit exceeds this amount then is taxed at 2%. So when a transaction on an online marketplace takes place then the revenue generated is related to the UK user.

Impact of Digital Services on Reputed companies

However, the tax is levied on digital services and not on online services. Now Amazon has declared that it would simply pass the charges to the customers, for thousands of businesses to use its marketplace. Similarly, Apple has said that it would pass the tax on app developers and google on the advertisers. The UK’s DST is a poor consolation prize for the multinational tech companies that will have to pay 2% to HMRC on revenues related to “provisions of social media service, internet search engine or online marketplace”.

Amazon passes on digital service tax to sellers

As the eCommerce, today has an ever-increasing boom in the world. People do everything online using many digital services by many corporate companies. One such e-commerce giant is Amazon, which has a net profit of 11.59 billion U.S dollars from 2014 to 2019. Moreover, the company has revealed that its profits had recorded the highest level in the second quarter of the year as the government introduced lockdown to Coronavirus, which made the customers purchase everything online, rather than from physical retailers.

As and when the legislation passed by the UK government the company conveyed a note to the seller community that Amazon will not pay the UK new digital service tax for the products it sells directly to the customers rather small traders who sell products on their site will face some increase in the charges like,

  • Referral fees
  • Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA)
  • Monthly FBA storage fees
  • Multichannel fulfillment fees

By 2% for the UK people. In addition to this Amazon has also mentioned in their note that, as like other companies, Amazon has also asked the UK Government to pursue a global agreement on the taxation of the digital economy rather than unilateral taxes, so that it could be transparent and fairer for all business traders in all countries.

Moreover, they had also mentioned that the tax designed is a temporary measure, which will be dropped once the OECD deals with the agreement with the new international framework for taxations.

Lord Leigh of Hurley has stated that the announcement given by Amazon looks to be “absolutely outrageous”. He had mentioned that from the statement it reveals that the UK Government does not impose a tax on Amazon duly and is allowing avoiding tax for its own sales in the marketplace.

Some of the discussions of how far the legislation passed by the UK government is fair,

The most important factor considered is, that the tax generated only when the profit exceeds $25 million. Thus, the giant companies would face this where 90% of its revenue outside the UK would see this income as untouched by HMRC.

The other factor is that always the digital-based services rely on public services. Where digital services do not use roads for their transportation, rather it is mainly dependent on the engineering services for communication links. In addition, it is mentioned that digital services are dependent on the consumption of the population. The money spent on defense by the government is a safe and stable economy for the country by which the digital services are benefitted in the UK market. So finally, any business conducted in the UK is reliant on the ecosystem, which is supported by the taxpayer’s money.
